Cake Walk

National Poetry Writing Month

Prompt IV: Everyday little things

Taking things for granted??
Undoubtedly a thesis to mock,
The diurnal cup of coffee,
Isn’t a worthy keynote to talk.
Though a day without the java,
Immediatly sets off a mind block.
Everyday little things are a bliss,
Yet overlooking them is a cake walk.

Idealistic preaching??
Oh of course not,
The evening music and leisure time ,
Merely are subjects unsuitable to spot.
Though a sundown without this blend,
Appears no less than a blot.
Everyday little things are a bliss,
Yet overlooking them is a cake walk.

Comprehension of little details??
Why not? It’s currently trending.
Afterall the night would be charmless,
Without the moon & some reading.
Bibliophile, selenophile & javaphile,
All are products of the tick-tock
Everyday little things are a bliss,
Yet overlooking them is a cake walk.
